FIELD: instrument engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method of incoherent accumulation of light-detecting signals includes series of exploration cycles. Note that in each exploration cycle there is reception of reflected signal and comparison of received signal with some analog threshold levels. Accumulation of sum of analog threshold level exceeding according to which we can define a signal by comparison of exceeding sum with threshold number. Analogue threshold levels are arranged at both sides of zero level. Absolute exceeding of positive threshold levels are accumulate with symbol "plus" and absolute exceeding of negative threshold levels are accumulate with symbol "minus". So that average total quantity of noise level exceeding when there is no signal was minimum and probability of signal correct detection at false alarm specified probability was maximum.

EFFECT: provision of maximum probability of signal detection at equipment minimum quantity.
