SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy field, particularly to content of grey cast iron. It can be used for manufacturing of cam rings, wheels of crank and button shafts, cylinders, frames, flywheels, pistons, toothed wheel and other details. Cast iron contains, wt %: carbon 2.3-2.8; silicon 2.0-2.5; manganese 0.5-1.0; aluminium 0.1-0.2; cerium 0.02-0.04; chrome 0.4-0.6; magnesium 0.08-0.1; stibium 0.0006-0.001; beryllium 0.006-0.01; selenium 0.0006-0.001; cobalt 0.9-1.3; iron - the rest. Cast iron allows high strength.

EFFECT: cast iron hardening.
