SUBSTANCE: invention concerns means of sheet material processing. Invention claims device and method of processing sheet material featuring et least one electric integrated circuit. Invention involves use of control unit for power and/or data transfer to electric integrated circuit from electric integrated circuit of sheet material, where at least a part of power and/or data transferred is used for sheet material processing. Control unit can address several integrated circuits of different sheets simultaneously, for instance to actuate integrated circuits, and/or can simultaneously process response signals sent by several integrated circuits of different sheets in response to request.
EFFECT: reduced manufacturing and processing cost of sheet material, mainly banknotes.
