FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydrometallurgy and is of relevance for the sorption technology for uranium extraction from solutions and pulps produced as a result of sulphuric acid leaching. The proposed method envisages sorption extraction of uranium from sulphuric acid solutions and pulps by way of contacting with a weakly basic polyacrylate anionite modified with dimethyl sulphate till formation of 30-70% of strongly basic groups. Anionite modification proceeds at pH 6-8.
EFFECT: considerable (by a factor of 1,5-2) increase of anionite capacity and uranium absorption which ensures overall improvement of the process efficiency.
