FACILITY FOR SECURING CABLE TO PIPELINE ASSEMBLED IN WELL Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC E21B17/00 

FIELD: oil and gas production.

SUBSTANCE: facility consists of metal case with lengthwise channel for pipeline and open lengthwise slot, ribs of which are designed for protection of cable therein installed from mechanical damages; also facility consists of unit with movable elements for fixing case on pipeline. Further an additional lengthwise through slot is made in the case; this slot conjugates with the pipe channel and has width less, than diametre of the channel but bigger, than diametre of the pipeline pipe; this slot is situated symmetrically opposite the first lengthwise through slot comprising the cable. Also the upper part of the case is made in form of a half-cylinder, thickness of wall of which is less than half of difference between diametre of the coupling and diametre of the pipeline pipe. Two parts forming the lengthwise channel for the pipeline and making the lower part of case are attached to the half-cylinder. The ribs for protection of the cable can be made both with adjusted length in the direction perpendicular to axis of well and with un-adjusted length; also the facility can function as de-centrator. Adjustment of ribs length is achieved by rectangular cuts in ribs, the upper and lower sides of which are equipped with teeth; notably, adjustable plates with response teeth are installed in the cuts; these teeth mesh with teeth of the cuts and allow adjustment of position of the plates.

EFFECT: improved operation conditions due to reduced piston effect.
