FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device comprises transformer with output winding whereto connected are two booster windings, three AC keys, three-position comparator with outputs "higher"-"standard"-"lower", first and second booster windings with back-to-back and accordant connections to main output winding. AC key outputs are integrated and connected to fist input of rectifier diode, while AC key inputs are connected to output windings so that at input voltage not falling beyond preset limits, signal "standard" of aforesaid three-position key connects main output winding to diode bridge. When input voltage exceeds upper preset limit, first booster winding is connected in opposition to main output winding. When input voltage drops beyond preset magnitude, second booster winding is connected like main output winding is. Thus, the range of tolerable input voltage variations increases by the sum of first and second booster windings voltages.
EFFECT: reduced heat losses.
