ELECTRIC CIRCUIT TO FEED DC LOW-VOLTAGE TO COMMUTATOR TRACTION MOTORS OF ELECTRIC LOCOMOTIV IN ITS TRANSFER TO REPAIR POSITION Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC B60L15/00

Abstract RU 2372217 C1

FIELD: railway transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to serving DC and AC electric locomotives and aims at increasing safety in transfer of said locomotives to repair position. Proposed device incorporates magnetic starter to be connected to three-phase rectifier. Rectified DC rectified voltage is sent, via flexible cable and connector assembly, to electric locomotive power circuit. Electromagnetic starter is triggered through control relay interlock-contacts fed from DC source with voltage that operates voltage harmless for people. Control relay is actuated only after flexible cable is connected to electric locomotive.

EFFECT: higher safety.
