FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: locking ring is provided for locking the connection of two tubular members, is located around central axis and contains segments, each of them consists of usual part and two peripheral ends. Each segment tapers from thinned axial edge to thickened axial edge. One of segments contains indexing notch for fastener, open by axis into the side of thinned edge. Indexing notch is implemented only in usual part and is limited by perimetre by two edges.
EFFECT: invention increases reliability of connection of pipes of higher diametre.
