FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: set of invention relates to devices and methods. Proposed complex comprises ballistic missile with control system and detachable fairing arranged at the missile nose part and covering underwater warhead with control system. Complex comprises also another ballistic missile with detachable cruise missile arranged in aforesaid head part under detachable fairing and furnished with at least one radio acoustic buoy. Method of destructing underwater targets consists in that, preliminary, ballistic missile carries detachable cruise missile to target location. Fairing is detached at the trajectory final path to detach cruise missile. The latter flies horizontally target location to drop at least one radio acoustic buoy. Warhead is carried by another ballistic missile with its warhead located under hose fairing. First ballistic missile approaches the target location to receive target location data from aforesaid buoy. Before detachment of warhead, its control system receives corrected coordinates of the target, and its trajectory is corrected with the help of unit of aerodynamic control surfaces. The latter unit is separated in the area of corrected target location before splashdown.

EFFECT: higher probability of hitting underwater targets.
