FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: ac-to-dc converter can be used for supply of DC consumers, particularly, in supply of electrically driven transport facilities. Proposed converter comprises three-phase transformer (1) with two secondaries, one representing a star circuit and another making reversed star circuit. Both secondaries have their common points connected into six-phase star with its phase windings separated into two parts by leadouts, and comprise twelve gates (2…13). The number of turns of phase windings arranged between common points and leadouts and that of phase windings arranged between leadouts and phase leadouts are in the ratio of ():(). Three gates (2, 3, 4) connect leadouts of first star windings with leadout (14) of equalising reactor (ER), while three gates (5, 6, 7) connect leadouts of second star windings with ER leadout (15) and three gates (11, 12, 13) connect phase leadouts of second star windings with ER leadout (14). In the latter case, anodes of gates (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) are connected to leadouts a', b', c', x', y', z' of the phases of six-phase star, while anodes of gates (8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13) are connected to phase leadouts a, b, c, x, y, z of six-phase star. ER central leadout (16) and common point (17) of six-phase star make output leadouts of the device.
EFFECT: higher quality of conversion.
