MOVABLE BIOTOPE Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A01K61/00

Abstract RU 2373705 C1

FIELD: biotechnologies.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of aquaculture and may be used to increase biomass of marine organisms and absorb wave energy. Movable biotope comprises vertical elements fixed on anchors, which are installed on water reservoir bottom in parallel rows. Vertical elements are arranged in the form of cylinders made of material with zero buoyancy, filled with water and covered with mesh covers. The latter are fixed on cylinders with plastic hoops. Each cylinder in upper part is equipped with floats, by means of which it is oriented vertically to water surface, and is installed in the centre of square formed with four anchors, to which it is fixed by four anchor ties. In upper and middle part cylinders are connected to each other by cable halyards-links, on which headers and/or wide-meshed nets are fixed, which are stretched in various planes. Cylinders have a hole in lower base, which is oriented along water reservoir bottom. In the centre of each cable halyard-link there is an additional float fixed. Cylinders are made, for instance from polyethylene film. On halyard-links there are webs additionally stretched in various planes from stretchy woven synthetic material to provide additional suppression action in case of wave erosion. High efficiency factor of waves suppression makes it possible to operate this structure as a coast-prtective (wave-suppression) structure.

EFFECT: large area of formed aquiprata surface makes it possible to improve reproduction of hydrocoles, and also to clean water in reservoir.
