SUBSTANCE: invention relates to abrasive machining and can be used in finishing processing of cylinder working surface, mainly of long-length bushings. The honing head casing is fitted by a housing, blocks with honing stones, a releasing element, a unit for automatic stop of honing at achieving the specified dimension of the surface being processed; the latter unit is set with the possibility of axial movement. The unit is made as limiting bushes with pushers mounted by thread connection in the bush set on the honing head shaft. Lower and upper balls are provided in the limiting bushes. The lower balls are placed in the honing head shaft groove and are engaged with the bush. The upper balls are placed in the upper zone of the limiting bush and can rest on the surface being processed. The said unit is equipped by a spring for the return of the honing head shaft in the original position and a spring for the return of the bush in the original position.

EFFECT: increased efficiency and quality of processing the parts of the same type due to ensuring the stability of dimensions of the processed holes.
