FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering field, particularly to devices, adjusting clearance between cover plate of brake block and brake drum in pneumatic brakes. Automatic slack adjuster contains release of brake blocks with ratchet gear, actuating rod, control device, slewing limiter of shaft of expansion cam. slewing limiter of shaft consists of two bushes, co-axial located on shaft of release, and clamping spring. One of bush is relative to other external and allows internal cone-shaped opening. The second bush is internal and allows external reciprocal taper. Length of internal bush exceed length of external bush. Clamping spring is located between butt of external bush and threaded female screw, installed on part of internal bush. On external surface of external bush it is installed control device, controlling changing of clearance in brake assembly. Control device is implemented in the form of rest, rigidly connected to external surface of external bush. Top part of the rest is in opening of stop block of lever, which is rigidly connected to semiaxis of brake system drive.
EFFECT: improvement of technical features of device and simplification of maintenance of brake system in adverse weather conditions.
