FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to field of automatic monitoring and control of feed of mill of wet autogenous grinding of ore minerals. Method of automatic control of autogenous grinding mill operation includes measurement and stabilisation at preset values of grinding capacity, stock of materials in mill and density of finished product. Also it includes measurement of grinding capacity increment in current and previous equal time intervals, calculation of difference between increments of grinding capacity in current and previous equal time intervals, and, depending on difference sign, change of preset values of material stock and finished product density for increase of material stock and reduction of finished product density at positive sign of difference and cessation of preset values change at first obtained negative sign of difference. As preset values, specified values of material stock amount and finished product density obtained at next-to-last step of task change are used, and time intervals between measurements of increment of capacity are determined from moment of end of transient processes for material stock in mill. In addition, power consumed by mill is measured and moment of oncoming overload of grinding assembly is determined by value of amplitude of power high-frequency oscillations, at that power is recorded at each step of change of task to stabilisation loops. When amplitude of power high-frequency oscillations achieves preliminary preset limit value, successive step changing of task to loops of stabilisation of grinding assembly operation is performed for recovering from mode of overload.
EFFECT: enhancement of reliability and quality of control.
