FIELD: packing industry.
SUBSTANCE: method for making of leg for tray includes the following stages: cutting of slots in side surface of polygonal cardboard pipe for cutting of stiffening walls, creases are made by impression in side surface of cardboard pipe for folding of stiffening walls, stiffening walls are folded to separate bearing sections of leg into chambers. Grooves are arranged in side surface of cardboard pipe. Grooves pass parallel to desired direction of loading. Cutting of slots, impression of creases and grooves making is realised simultaneously. Installation for making of tray legs comprises the following components: pipe processing machine for cutting of slots and impression of creases in side surface of polygonal cardboard pipe. Installation also comprises folding machine for folding of stiffening walls along creases and creation of bearing sections of tray leg.
EFFECT: easier manufacturing, transportation and higher stability, protection against moisture.
