FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to magnetic measurements and can be used for fast measurement of main and partial static hysteresis loops of ferromagnetic materials. The method involves transmission of an actuating signal with a complex shape, with high-frequency and low-frequency components, to a magnetising coil, picking up the magnetic field intensity signal which is proportional to current of the magnetising coil, picking up the inductance signal which is proportional to the integral of the electromotive force (EMF) of the measuring coil. The method is characterised by that, the actuating signal with a complex shape is generated such that, it changes polarity only once inside the complete magnetisation cycle, the picked up magnetic field intensity signal is corrected by subtracting the EMF with a coefficient of proportionality, value of which is corrected by monitoring the recorded hysteresis loop such that, the loop has a monotonous shape without alternation of convex and concave sections.
EFFECT: increased information content through fast measurement of a static hysteresis loop of a magnetic sample using a detector.
