SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft control systems, particularly to semiautomatic control systems. Semiautomatic aircraft horizontal control system is built around Heading Automatic Control System (HACS). It comprises preset heading generation unit incorporating heading value variation unit, reset key selection unit, heading setting device representing multi-position control knob, control modes switch and indicator, aircraft flight parameters pickups and preset heading stabilisation unit. Heading value variation unit additionally incorporates S-like manoeuvre mode unit comprising memory, multi-position control knob operation time counter-integrator, integrator of time passed after initial conditions key generation, subunits of heading magnitude increment generation and heading increment output interval, and comparator.

EFFECT: accurate and safe trajectory control in approaching tanker aeroplane, or in landing on aircraft carrier.
