SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a linkage area structure, made between data sections on a read-only recording medium. The recording medium contains a data area with at least two data partitions and a linkage area for linking neighbouring data partitions. The linkage area contains scrambled user data obtained by scrambling user data with a scrambling key. The linkage area consists of two linkage frames, each containing synchrosignals. The linkage area also contains a new frame synchrosignal which differs from the synchrosignals for data frames recorded in physical clusters. Data which should be recorded in physical clusters are encoded together with the frame synchrosignal in the linkage frame.
EFFECT: protection from unauthorised copying.
