FIELD: physics; communications.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to portable communication devices, and can be used in cellular telephone designs, smartphones, satphones, communicators, portable radiotelephone pipes etc. The telephone consists of a housing (1), screen (2), keyboard (3), system for receiving and sending wireless messages (4), with the outer side of the housing (1) having at least one recess (5), inside the housing there is a cavity (6) with a frame (7), the cavity (6) is linked to the recess (5), in the cavity there is a platform (8) made with possibility of moving on the frame (7), on the platform there is a movable protective panel (9), when the platform (8) moves on the frame (7) inside the cavity (6) the panel (9) opens or closes the recess (5) of the portable telephone. Several recesses and protective panels can be made in the housing of the telephone. The screen or keyboard or some other components of the telephone can be fitted in the recess. An electric motor can be used for movement of a device for mechanically pushing the platform can be used, linked to the platform through an actuator.
EFFECT: wider range of portable telephones, provision for additional functionalities with increase in operational reliability and safety, compact form and retention of simplicity of operation, use of several types of keyboards, ergonomic arrangement of components of the telephone.
