SUBSTANCE: cast iron can be used for manufacturing of machine components, operating in conditions of friction, particularly, screws, bushings, piston rings. Cast iron contains, wt %: carbon 3.0-3.5; silicon 1.1-1.7; manganese 0.1-0.2; phosphorus 0.08-0.12; cerium 0.08-0.12; aluminium 0.08-0.12; calcium 0.02-0.03; boron 0.08-0.12; copper 0.8-1.2; zirconium 0.08-0.12; tellurium 0.008-0.012; iron - the rest.
EFFECT: cast iron allows high wear resistance.
