FIELD: heating.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat exchangers and can be used in direct-flow vertical modular steam generators operated at variable loads. Proposed generator comprising housing with heat exchange tubes, heating fluid inlet chamber formed by tube plate and cover jointed together by central pipeline connected to heating fluid chamber housing. It comprises also perforated cone-like baffle with cone base facing said tube plate. The latter and cover form torus-like chamber to accommodate heated fluid leak pickup.

EFFECT: fast disconnection of module in seal failure in tube bundle.
