FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, particularly to thermal sources of optical radiation, i.e. filament lamps (FL). Proposed method comprises adjusting filament circuit resistance in transition mode (TM) by connecting extra resistor in series in said circuit with the help of thermal relay (TP 1). Said extra resistor comprises Cr-Ni spiral (section AB) and, with filament lamp switched on, serves to make equality Rh+R≥Rh* satisfied, where Rh is resistance of FL filament of tungsten spiral main section (BC), R is extra resistance of the main Cr-Ni spiral section (BC) in dynamic operating conditions (2), i.e. in hot state at the end of transition mode.
EFFECT: efficient control of filament resistance in transition mode.
