SUBSTANCE: structural method of restricting heavy swinging modes of ice-covered phase wires of overhead electric lines, in which in order to decrease its amplitude in the line span to acceptable design value there increased is dynamic bending stiffness of wires to such EJG level at which vnG swinging half-wave frequency, its length ΛG, amplitude-frequency factor α, mass per unit length m of ice-covered wires and tension PkW at the ice formed on wires, which is typical for swinging, meet the following equation: .
EFFECT: decreasing intensity of wire swinging on operating and newly built high-voltage lines of high, extra-high and ultra-high voltage.
