FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises bleeding cooling air from combustion chamber air section and feeding it through air-to-air heat exchanger mounted in second stage air passage into swirling apparatus. Further, cooling air is forced into operating vane inner chambers via air channels in turbine wheel and cooling air flow rate is adjusted. Inner chamber of every operating vane arranged nearby its front edge is isolated from the remaining chamber by baffle directed along front edge. Chamber, thus formed, is communicated via perforated holes in the wall with turbine wheel space. Cooling air is fed thereto from combustion chamber air section via additional rotor swirl device and additional air channels in turbine wheel.

EFFECT: higher operating efficiency and reliability, longer life.
