FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: analysis device has a surface ionisation source of ions with a heated sensitive element of an ion thermo-emitter. A sample of organic compounds is placed on the surface of the carrier. The sample carrier is then placed in an air stream entering the analysis device. Further, heating is done at a constant rate. The relationship between ion current, formed on the surface of the sensitive element, and the heating time and/or temperature of the sample carrier is measured and analysed. The temperature value of the sensitive element and the sample heating rate value are selected taking into account the behaviour of temperature dependency of background current of the ion photo-emitter, the class of analysed organic compounds and amount and concentration of components of the analysed sample.
EFFECT: increased sensitivity and resolution power when analysing mixtures of different classes of organic compounds.
