INSTALLATION METHOD OF DANGEROUS RADIATION LARGE-SIZED OBJECTS TO BE STORED FOR LONG TIME, AND RAIL LIFT-AND-CARRY DEVICE FOR METHOD'S IMPLEMENTATION Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC G21F9/00

Abstract RU 2390063 C2

FIELD: power industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to method of movement, transportation and installation of dangerous radiation objects with various dimensions and weight to be stored on the shore for a long time and to be further stored, including reactor blocks of nuclear-power submarines, surface ships with nuclear power plants, storages of waste nuclear fuel of ships of nuclear process provision, floating power units of nuclear power stations. The territory of long-time storage platform (LTSP) from moorage to storage of blocks-packings is equipped near longitudinal and transverse railtracks crossing at an angle of 90° in the place of turn from longitudinal tracks to each storage row. Block-packing is pre-formed of the object, and support surfaces are made on it. And by means of water-borne vehicle it is transported to the moorage. Then it is transported by means of self-propelled rail lift-and-carry device (RLCD) to storage place on LTSP, where it is installed on foundation supports, and long-term storage and maintenance of the object is provided. Transportation of block-packing from moorage is performed first along longitudinal tracks to the appropriate storage row. Then wheel base of RLCD is turned through 90°. Connecting rods are detached from keel-blocks and block-packing is transported along transverse tracks to storage place till support surfaces coincide on block-packing with foundation supports installed on LTSP, and block-packing is transferred to them and external protective coating is applied to its surface. For implementation of the method, there proposed is rail lift-and-carry device (RLCD) containing self-propelled keel-blocks with rotary wheel base, which are attached to each other with connecting rods. Each keel-block is made in the form of two four-wheel rail (piling) trolleys with hydraulic drives of movement, which are connected by means of load-carrying keel-block beam of box-type structure from sheet steel, which has fixed support in the centre of symmetry and hinged on stocks of hydraulic jacks installed on trolleys. At that, length of connecting rods provides process arrangement of neighbouring keel-blocks at the distance equal to the distance between neighbouring rows of transverse tracks. Each beam of keel-block is provided with side supports equipped with shock absorbers, and all the keel-blocks of the device are controlled with hydraulic system of self-propelled hydraulic station.

EFFECT: compact arrangement of dangerous radiation large-sized objects in the form of block-packings with various mass and dimensions parametres, increasing radiation and environmental safety during long-term storage of block-packings.
