FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: long-range gun comprises barrel with the breech and ammunition with charges of explosive substance. One or several sections of barrel are arranged with bypasses, and ammunition is equipped with additional charges of explosive substance arranged in separate pistons formed as sleeves. To stop the piston and transform it into intermediate gate, stopping facilities may be provided on piston or in barrel.
EFFECT: increased initial speed of ammunition.
