FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: optical converter is made, having mirror plates on which light flux from a light source is directed. Spaces between the mirror plates at the base of the optical converter are coloured or sealed with multi-coloured materials. The incident light flux is directed onto the mirror plates, onto single-layer or multilayer coloured linings, transparent, semitransparent or light-absorbing in form of flat or volumetric objects with projections on the outer surface. The incident light flux is formed by polychromatic, monochromatic or laser radiation. Radiation intensity or wavelength is selected depending on artistic design from the colour combination of elements of the reflected image through computer programming. Additional monochromatic illuminators are used and intensity of incident and reflected light flux is varied by putting one-dimensional and three-dimensional inserts into the illuminators.
EFFECT: broader functional capabilities due to a wider range of variation of lighting and optical characteristics of reflected light through combination of colour formation parametres of the initial image.
