FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to high-molecular compounds, particularly to aromatic oligoesters which can be used as oligomers for producing polycondensation polymers. The invention describes aromatic oligoesters of formula: n=1-20. Described also is a two-step method of producing the said oligomers, where the first step involves reacting 3,3-di(4-oxyphenyl)phthalide with 4,4'-dichlorodiphenyl-ketone in an aprotic dipolar solvent - dimethylsulfoxide at 160°C in an inert gas atmosphere for 1 hour. At the second step, 4,4'-dichlorodiphenylsufone is added to the formed dimer and the reaction is carried out at 170°C for 5 hours.
EFFECT: use of the disclosed oligoesters enables to obtain block-copolymers with high intrinsic viscosity and molecular weight values, thermal stability, heat resistance and good deformation and strength properties.
