FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology of producing protein foaming agents and can be used in making foamed concrete on cement and gypsum binder, as well as for fire extinguishing. The method involves hydrolysis with alkali - sodium, potassium, calcium or ammonium hydroxide for 0.5-10 hours at 75-106°C of protein-containing material - hydrolysed feather meal, neutralisation of the alkaline hydrolysate, addition of iron (II) sulphate to the hydrolysate, and successive addition of organic solvent, with the following ratio of components in pts. wt: hydrolysed feather meal 100, alkali 6-60, iron (II) sulphate 7-185, organic solvent 0-70, water 300-638. The invention is developed in subclaims.
EFFECT: obtaining a foaming agent which enables obtaining highly stable foam with expansion rate of over 8 from diluted aqueous solutions with concentration of 2-3%.
