FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: pressure regulator has a housing with compressed gas inlet and outlet pipes. Between the pipes there is a conical seat relative which a poppet valve is equally centered and rigidly connected to detecting elements in form of a differential piston on the side of its smaller diametre. The chamber behind the differential piston is linked to the compressed gas outlet pipe and the piston itself is in contact with a force setting device. The pressure regulator also has a controlled slide rheostat, a dc source, an electrical circuit and a solenoid coil. The differential piston and the solenoid coil form an electromagnet. On the side of the larger diametre of the differential piston there is rigidly fitted stem end made from dielectric material which is pivotally connected to the slide of the controlled rheostat. The solenoid coil is connected in series to the electrical circuit. The rheostat is installed with possibility of having an effect on the said electrical circuit by increasing or reducing the electromagnetic field of the solenoid coil due to its ohmic resistance.
EFFECT: more accurate measurement of controlled pressure and broader functional capabilities of the pressure regulator and field of use owing to use of an electromagnet force setting device.
