FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: digital flow-type moisture metre has a measuring transducer which is a capacitance sensor connected in the time-setting circuit of a generator which is an astable multivibrator connected by a switch to a pulse counter, two proximity switches fitted on the ends of the measuring transducer in the direction of movement of the specimen which determine the position of the specimen relative the measuring transducer, a logic device connected by the first input to the first proximity switch, by the second input to the second proximity switch, by the third input to a comparator and by the output to control inputs of the switch and commutator whose first and third inputs are connected to a power supply, while the second and fourth inputs are earthed, an integrator connected by the input to the commutator and by the output to the comparator.

EFFECT: more accurate measurement of moisture of optically opaque materials with compensation for the multiplicative error component.
