FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a rubber mixture for tyre sidewalls and a method of preparing said mixture. Said mixture contains the following in pts. wt: 100 rubber component containing 40-70 wt % natural rubber and 30-60 wt % epoxidated natural rubber, sulphur, 20-40 silicon oxide and 5-15 plasticiser containing double bonds and obtained from materials different from oil materials. The rubber mixture is obtained by preparing a master batch of epoxidated natural rubber and plasticiser. The natural rubber is mixed with silicon oxide. The master batch is then mixed with the mixture containing silicon oxide.
EFFECT: disclosed rubber mixture and method ensure ecological suitability and preservation of natural oil resources, and the tyre sidewall has improved combination of bursting strength and spalling strength under bending effect and is not very hard.
