FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine also can be used in surgery, traumatology and combustiology. An instrument for necrotomy in burns contains a handle and a working cutting part. The handle is sized to match a palm and has a two-sided fair-edged gutter. The working part is flat and U-shaped. The blade is two-edged and placed between elliptical guiding arcs. The lower arc is longer than the upper one and has a cutting surface and a pointed end to be pricked in the necrotised skin. The upper arc has a cutting surface on one-third of the length and thickened to the end.
EFFECT: instrument provides graduated depth of incision of the necrotised skin within 2 to 5 mm, prevents injures of underlying tissues, especially in the functional regions in a projection of vessels, joints, scrotum, nasal organs.
