FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to gerontology and endocrinology. Substance of the method of biological age reduction in impaired glucose tolerance (IGT) consists in the fact that the IGT patient are prescribed for a long period of time with graduated static and dynamic physical activities, daily swimming in a swimming pool for at least 30 minutes a day and administration of the preparation metformin in dosage 500 mg 2 times a day. The method allows to match the biological and chronological age in the IGT patients within 7 weeks.

EFFECT: use of the method allows considerable improvement of life quality of the IGT patients, reduction of their pathological burden and the number of temporary disability cases, faster and better hospitalisation, lowered invalidisation and infarction and stroke induced death rate of the IGT patients.
