FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: composition of standard samples is a solution of a sulphur-containing substance in an organic matrix, wherein concentration of sulphur in the standard samples is between 10-4 and 10-2%. The sulphur-containing substance is in form of organic sulphides, disulphides, thiophene derivatives with weight ratio of sulphur between 15 and 36% and boiling point higher than 100°C. The organic matrix is paraffin hydrocarbons with boiling point between 100°C and 300°C and preliminarily purified from sulphur-containing impurities.
EFFECT: possibility of metrological monitoring of determination of content of sulphur trace concentration in oil and petroleum products using a UV fluorescence method and wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry.
