FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of separating uranium isotopes through gas centrifuging and can be used to minimise loss of separating power of centrifugal cascades of uranium isotope-separating plants. The disclosed method of enriching uranium is realised on a cascade installation having two or more centrifugal cascades from separating stages of gas centrifuges connected to each other by extraction/inflow streams. An extra stream is tapped from the central part of a cascade assembled from centrifuges of the same output, working with loss of separating power, or from the central part of a cascade assembled from centrifuges of different output, where one part of the cascade assembled from centrifuges of the same output works with loss of separating power. Said extra stream is directed for feeding another cascade of the installation, having feeding flow rate lower than the nominal value in the terminal tapping stages. Feeding is carried out in the separation stage with uranium-235 isotope concentration close to concentration of uranium-235 isotope in the tapped extra stream.

EFFECT: high coefficient of utilisation of separating power of central and tapping parts of centrifugal cascades of a cascade installation.
