FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps on which a handwritten document is created in an application, a handwritten document structure is created in form of a binary tree and said structure is stored in binary data serial format. During storage in binary data serial format, size data associated with the structure of the document are stored in a first data field, document structure descriptor data are stored in a second data field and root node data are stored in a third data field. The stored handwritten document structure is accessed from an application which differs from the application in which the handwritten document was created.
EFFECT: avoiding computationally costly repeated analysis of handwritten input of a handwritten document when using handwritten input among several applications.
