SUBSTANCE: diffuser 1 consists of cylindrical housing 3, upper disc 4, lower disc 5, between which blades 6 forming the return channels are located. On inner side surface of housing 3 there installed at equal distance from each other are inclined blades 7. In annular gap 8 between upper part of inclined blades 7 and lower disc 5 of the next diffuser 1 cylindrical screen 9 is located.

EFFECT: design provides minimum hydraulic losses and allows increasing the head owing to stabilisation of working fluid flow between stages.
