FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: combine harvester includes a propulsion package consisting of two autonomous motors installed symmetrical relative to the combine harvester longitudinal axis which motors drive the left and the right parts of the combine harvester transmission accordingly. Wheels are mounted on the propulsion package. Leafy top lifters are designed in the shape of dashboards supported by minor sized rollers, pivotally mounted onto their axles, in the front and on a longitudinal stick whereto they are rigidly attached - on the sides. The combine harvester contains a mowing-type cutting unit with its blades designed in the shape of segments. On the top of the cutting unit an excentrical reel is mounted with the reel radius commensurable with average height of leafy tops of the crop being harvested. Behind the cutting unit and across its motion direction a grid conveyor is installed consisting of two equal parts that are capable of motion in opposite directions. On the sides at the conveyor parts ends there are chute boards installed with rotor mincers positioned behind them. For collection of leafy tops inclined conveyors with grid web (the same as that of the crosswise conveyors) and bins. Installed behind the crosswise conveyors there are unearthing semi-ellipse shaped work tools arranged so that their major axes are vertically positioned with their side walls shaped as cones expanding in the backward direction. The work tools bottom is inclined toward the horizon; behind the work tools a screen is installed, the screen sticks having teeth with rubber-coated rear halves. Then follow a contraction device, a central inclined conveyor passing over the cabin and a root collection bin positioned behind the cabin and having a crosswise discharge conveyor driven by a hydraulic motor. The contraction device is designed as consisting of inclined walls installed symmetrically to the left and to the right of the central inclined conveyor along half the length thereof, the walls inclination angle exceeding that of natural slope of roots. The bin is equipped with an automatically opening damper driven by the hydraulic motor. The combine harvester coverage width exceeds the width of the widest trailer. The conveyor grid web is woven of kapron threads, the mesh size being less than that of the average root; the web edges are rigidly attached to flexible metal bands on the one side and to bushing-roller chains - on the other. Mounted on the bin front wall is a cleaner represented by a comb consisting of circular rods with rounded ends bent parallel to the central conveyor inside the bin, the distance between them being 3-4 times less than the average root size. Applied on the bin front wall is a gasket made of an elastic material, its width being 5-6 times the average size of roots harvested. On the top of the screen there are two rows of cylinders freely installed on axles with projections in chessboard fashion. On the cylinders surface there are oblong-shaped projections rigidly attached, arranged along spiral lines. The projections are made of soft rubber, their height equal to the average height of roots harvested. The cylinders are positioned so that the projections are over the slot between the screen sticks, their height equal to 1/2 and 1/3 of the average root diametre at the beginning and at the end accordingly.
EFFECT: improvement of root surface sensing and performance quality of the root harvesting and cleaning technological process; enhanced manoeuvrability.
