FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: proposed device comprises actuator and detector. The former is arranged on automatic coupler casing and made up of large and small holders opposed in vertical plane to form cavity to house drive element representing a hollow cylinder made from alloy with shape memory, electric heater that embraces said cylinder, and two return springs. Two return springs are arranged on sides of drive element and secured between holders. Large holder is hinged to the bracket mounted on automatic coupler casing to interact with small holder pivoted to bell crank. One arm of bell crank is secured to automatic coupler tail while another arm is articulated with tie rod with its end made in the form of grip spring loaded toward haulage clamp arranged on automatic coupler lifter roller. Detector is made up of elastic current conducting rod furnished with deflection limiter arranged on track axis, current collecting platform arranged at automatic coupler tail bottom at the angle to coupler lengthwise axis and connected to drive element electric heater and power supply. Elastic current conducting rod interacts, on the one side, with aforesaid current collecting platform and, on the other side, is connected to power supply via switch.

EFFECT: higher reliability, accuracy and validity, simplified design of actuator and detector.
