FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil and gas extraction industry, particularly to compositions for restricting inflow of water into a well. The composition for restricting inflow of water into a well contains the following, wt %: polyvinyl alcohol 3-7, sodium tetraphenyl borate 0.6-2.0, ammonium oxalate 0.057-0.190, potassium chloride 0.066-0.220, sodium hydroxide 0.02-0.05, water - the rest.
EFFECT: high efficiency of water insulation works in wells due to use of a composition with improved technological properties due to regulated gelling time, which enables the composition to penetrate a porous medium, high adhesion to the deposit rock, strength of the formed gel and resistance thereof to the effect of formation water, as well as a wide range of gel formation regulators.
