FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: device for detecting leaks in a line has a transmitting device for exciting radiation which must be directed onto the line. Radiation coming from the line at the leakage point is received by a receiving device which enables detection of the leakage point. The receiving device is mounted on the bearing element of a compartment structure.

EFFECT: high reliability of detecting leaks.
