FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a polymer material for ophthalmological or otolaryngological articles obtained from at least 50 wt % monofunctional acrylate or methacrylate monomer, functional acrylate or methacrylate cross-linking monomr and a polystyrene macromer with a terminal acrylate or methacrylate group and/or polystyrene macromer with a terminal diacrylate or dimethacrylate group. The invention also discloses an ophthalmological or otolaryngological article and intraocular lenses, containing said material for articles.
EFFECT: disclosed material enables to obtain stronger articles without loss of their softness and flexibility and does not require addition of filler.
