FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to versions of the method of producing and converting synthetic gas, one of which involves reforming gaseous material, including methane, to form synthetic gas which contains hydrogen and carbon monoxide; Fischer-Tropsch synthesis of hydrocarbons with conversion of a portion of hydrogen and carbon monoxide to a Fischer-Tropsch synthesis product; separation of exhaust gas containing unreacted hydrogen and carbon monoxide, methane and carbon dioxide from the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis product; treatment of the combined exhaust gas which involves reforming methane in the presence of a catalyst for converting water gas and carbon dioxide sorbent by reforming methane in the exhaust bas in the presence of water vapour to form hydrogen and carbon dioxide, wherein at least a portion of carbon dioxide is absorbed or adsorbed on the carbon dioxide sorbent to form a hydrogen-rich gas; and periodic desorption of carbon dioxide from the carbon dioxide sorbent and feeding carbon dioxide to the reforming step.
EFFECT: use of said method increases hydrogen content and lowers content of all gases which do not react in Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, including methane, as well as content of carbon dioxide in the exhaust gas from the Fischer-Tropsch hydrocarbon synthesis step.
