SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering. Proposed appliance comprises axial system 32 arranged to slide in first channel 38 of metal fastener 34 along first lengthwise axis in first direction from normal extended position in pushed-in position whereat it enters said metal fastener, and visa versa. Besides, said appliance additionally comprises appliance 60 to elongate axle arranged inside axial system (32) to move parallel with lengthwise axis in second direction from normal pushed-in position into pulled-out position whereat it is rigidly jointed with axial system (32) to extend therefrom, and visa versa. Method of mounting aircraft engine 6 consist in that crosspiece (28), pre-jointed to engine by tie-rods (26), is jointed with appliance (33) pre-mounted on rigid structure (8). In jointing, axle elongation appliances (60) are displaced in second direction (46) relative to axial system (32) for it to occupy its pushed-in position so that it crosses second channel (68) in crosspiece (28) unless it occupies its pulled-out position. Then, axle elongation appliances (60) are moved so that to cause displacement of axial system (32) via first and second channels (38, 68) in its normal extended position.
EFFECT: simplified mounting.
