FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemical industry and can be used to lower content of unbound formaldehyde in materials obtained from formaldehyde-containing resins. The method of producing glyoxal-containing urea formaldehyde resin with low emission of phenol involves condensation of carbamide with a mixture of glyoxal and formaldehyde, the said mixture containing 39.7-40.1% of the latter. The method of producing glyoxal-containing phenol-formaldehyde resin with low emission of formaldehyde involves condensation of phenol and a mixture of formaldehyde and glyoxal in ratio of 15.5:15 pts. wt. The method of producing glyoxal-containing resorcinol-formaldehyde resin with low emission of formaldehyde involves condensation of resorcinol, formaldehyde and glyoxal in ratio of 1:1.1:0.5. The method of producing gloxal-containing melamine-formaldehyde resin with low emission of formaldehyde involves condensation of malamine, formaldehyde and glyoxal in ratio of 0.5:1:0.5 pts. mol. The invention also relates to wood-shaving materials and foam plastic based on glyoxal-containing urea formaldehyde resin.

EFFECT: improved physical and mechanical and operational characteristics of the obtained materials, low toxicity.
