FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: measuring donut coil represents a system of two concentric measuring coils; at that, one is put into another one with a small gap, and they are electrically in-series connected, and opposite connected as per magnetic streams. This allows obtaining better measurement accuracy at equal surface area of the circuit penetrated with investigated magnetic flow because between-coil gap is arranged immediately in the places intended for measurements. Advantage of measuring donut coil appears during investigation of non-homogeneous magnetic fields; for that purpose, between-coil gap shall comply as to the shape with the structure of the investigated magnetic field. Application procedure of measuring donut coil consists in preliminary investigation of the structure of investigated magnetic field by means of certain method and manufacture of donut coil with the gap coinciding as to the shape with lines of equal level of magnetic field.

EFFECT: improved measurement accuracy of magnetic flow.
