SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a composition which contains polycarbonate and a UV light absorber of formula (I) 
where R denotes a branched or straight alkyl group with between four and ten carbon atoms. The disclosed composition can be contained in an article selected from, for example, a group comprising glass covers for bus stations, billboards, panels, protective screens, automobile glasses, windows, coatings, solid slabs, corrugated slabs, cellular slabs and cellular profiles.
EFFECT: composition absorbs UV light better than existing compositions which contain standard UV light absorbers, and also provides high quality of articles made from the composition.
