FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agriculture. Proposed method of artificial swarming of bee families includes displacement of a part of a bee family getting ready for swarming together with a queen into a temporary compartment, where beeswax frames are installed. The compartment is closed with a meshy material and is placed into a dark cool premises without access of light for 1-2 days. Then the bee family is put into a new hive together with populated frames. Bees that remained after movement into the temporary compartment are used to create a nucleus for production of laying queens.
EFFECT: simplified bee keeping technology, reduced labour intensiveness and increased efficiency of a bee keeper's work.
